Plea to Cong MLAs to draw 80% salary

GUWAHATI, Oct 13: Keeping an eye on the cash crunch in the country, Assam Congress Legislature Party (CLP) chief whip Bharat Chandra Narah requested all Congress members of the State Assembly and members associated with the party to draw 80 per cent of their salary for a period of one year. The decision, according to Narah, was taken by the All India Congress Committee (AICC). This decision is applicable to all Congress ministers, MLAs and chairmen. THE SENTINEL
