Bhimajuli fighting it back to normalcy after NDFB attack

BISWANATH CHARIALI, Oct 9: Although the situation is returning to normal in Bhimajuli, Balichung, Balijuri etc. in the Biswanath subdivision, yet the people are finding it difficult to forget the tragic death of their fellow villagers who were killed ruthlessly by NDFB militants recently.

The statement issued by NDFB chief Ranjan Daimari has not been able to satisfy the people here. The people here opined that the militants, who are hiding in the dense jungles, are scared to come out in the open after the public uproar following the incident and are, therefore, doing meaningless acts. They said the statement issued do not carry any valid reason for the massacre and its involvement in it.

Sources said the people are awaiting the Chief Minister’s visit in the area for submitting a memorandum regarding the ruthless killing of the villagers. The Biswanath District Unit of the All Assam Yuba Chatra Parishad (AAYCP) staged a demonstration for two hours for their fulfilment of their demands to immediately nab the culprits involved in the Bhimajuli massacre, to solve the inter-State boundary problem and to provide proper security of life and property for the inhabitants.
