Recognition for JEC

DIBRUGARH, Feb14-The Jorhat Engineering College (JEC), the premier technical institution of the North East, has been enlisted among the top 100 engineering institutions in a national survey conducted by the Dalal Street Investment Journal, a leading business magazine of the country. It may be mentioned here that the campus recruitment of final year students, which commenced in December, 2010, has been runway success with 70 per cent students placed in organizations of global repute in just two months.
With four months remaining in the current academic session, many organisations are set to conduct recruitment drives in the JEC. The college, which is currently in its 50th year, has undergone major changes in infrastructure with renovation of hostels, setting up of new academic building under the CM’s AVY and establishment of an NRL-funded building for Training and Placement Cell (TPC) activities.
