This Speech is invaluable not only because of its immense importance in chronicling the rise of the Srimanta Sankaradeva Sangha as a religious organization but also because it serves as (a) source-material for the study of the Sankaradeva Movement in modern times (20th century) and (b) a historical document for re-constructing the social history of Assam in one of its most axial periods.
