SILCHAR, Dec 13: The benefits under Chief Minister’s Vikash Yojana were distributed among BPL families of Raja Bazar block of Lakhipur sub-division of Cachar district. The beneficiaries were handed over 100 pieces of rugs, 1,350 families received 4.5 kg each handloom yarn and 25 tea tribe students got cycles each. All these benefits were handed over to the target groups at a simple function organized at Pailapool community hall. Dinesh Prasad Goala, Minister of Urban Development, distributed the articles and civil SDO of Lakhipur Baranya Das presided over the function. The welfare scheme under the Vikash Yojana of Chief Minister was initiated from Raja Bazar block of Cachar to cover all the other blocks of the district. THE SENTINEL
