GOSSAIGAON, Oct 10: A reception committee office was inaugurated by Dr Bibhuti Bhusan Brahma here recently to hold the 49th Bodo Sahitya Sabha which is scheduled to be held from January 29 to 31, 2010. The office was inaugurated in the Kamal Nath Club cum library under Gossaigaon subdivision.
A meeting was also held on the occasion. Gossaigaon constituency MLA Majendra Narzary explained the details of the meeting. EM Sova Ram Basumatary, MCLA Rajan Narzary, Sahitya poet Kiran Chandra Basumatary and prof Hemendra Nath Brahma were present in the meeting as guests. Various aspects of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha were also discussed in the meeting.
Bodo Sahitya Sabha president Dr Kameshwar Brahma attended the meeting as the chief guest and condemned the recent killings of innocent people in Bhimajuli by NDFB militants. He also urged the committee members to work unitedly and peacefully without giving attention to such incidents. THE SENTINEL
