SHILLONG, Aug 28: The National Book Trust (NBT), India, in collaboration with the Directorate of Art and Culture, Government of Meghalaya is organizing the Shillong Book Fair from August 30 to September 6 at the State Central Library Campus, Shillong.
NBT is an organization under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Higher Education established by the first Prime Minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru for promoting books and inculcating reading habit among the people. NBT is ceaselessly working towards that end for more than last 50 years, sources said. NBT will put up around 110 book stalls and approximately 50 publishers from Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Tripura, West Bengal, Meghalaya and Asom will participate. THE SENTINEL
